Subject: Wellow Brook habitat workshop
Hi Rob and Fred,
On Saturday the 23rd of August a River Habitat Workshop is being held on Wellow Brook at Stoney Littleton near Wellow. This is being hosted by the Wild Trout Trust and supported by the Environment Agency, Bristol Avon Rivers Trust and the Wellow Fly Fishing Syndicate (who’s waters the workshop will be undertaken on).
The purpose of the workshop is to improve a couple of potential spawning riffles to help with the recovery of the river (since the slurry spill) and to try and get as many Wellow Brook stakeholders together as possible to learn some simple techniques and principles for habitat enhancement.
I warmly invite ATAA members to come along and get involved. If you could spread the word and give me some indication of who might like to attend and they’re contact details it would be a tremendous help.
All the best,
