Avon & Tributaries Angling Association

INTERESTED IN RIVER BUGS?

The Riverfly Partnership is a network of nearly 100 partner organisations, representing anglers, conservationists, entymologists, scientists, water course managers and relevant authorities, working together to:

- protect the water quality of our rivers;
- further the understanding of riverfly populations;
- actively conserve riverfly habitats.

The Association needs to be part of this: it will help us to identify pollution incidents, and make us better-informed anglers. Our part could be played if we had a small number of volunteers (3 or 4) who would attend a one-day course on how to recognise the key species and then carry out once-a-month monitoring at specific locations.

ATAA established a small group in 2015 and has started monthly monitoring at the cattle crossing below the bridge at Midford.
We always meet on the first Saturday of each month at 10.30 please come along and join us.

You can see the results, month by month, on the spreadsheet (BELOW/CLICK TO LINK)

If you would like more information or would like to become involved, please contact the monitoring group at membership@ataafishing.net
