ATAA Coarse Waters
The coarse fishing waters include stretches of both the Bristol Avon and the Somerset Frome.

Starting from the village of Limpley Stoke (upstream of the weir pool), the River Avon meanders up to the confluence of where the River Frome enters the River Avon at Freshford. The club waters then continue upstream toward Avoncliffe.

Fishing on the River Frome begins at the confluence at Freshford, and continues almost unbroken toward and beyond the Iford estate, ending at Farleigh Hungerford.

There are such varied stretches of water, that every aspect of fishing styles can be used for you to enjoy your sport. Pretty much all species of fish are present throughout, including many specimens, so whatever your quarry, the hours put in should see your just rewards.

The directions to all “Beats” on the waters are shown in the members only virtual maps attached. There are highlighted suggested parking places (P) Access points (A) and boundaries (X) We suggest, as soon as you join the club, familiarise yourself by walking the waters and beats. Remember to wear your membership identification badge as the majority of the “beats” are on private land. Some waters have coded padlocks on the gates. On joining, you will be given the codes.

Alternatively, the club have volunteer members who will give a guided tour of the waters.
